Data that may be processed

Contact form: your name, email address, optional company name, selected conversation topic, message and the page path from which the enquiry was started.
Direct contact: details included in an email, telephone call or subsequent correspondence.
Technical data: the hosting service may log the IP address, request date and time, requested URL, browser information and server response code.
Anti-spam protection: the form creates a one-way hash of the IP address and keeps it in a temporary file for 10 minutes to limit automated submissions.
Optional analytics: after consent — visited page path without query or URL fragment, page language, general browser and device data, a cleaned referrer, technical event names and limited context such as button location, selected enquiry category and source page path.

Providing data is voluntary. Your name, email and message are needed for a reply; without them, the enquiry may not be handled. The company field is optional.

Cookies and analytics

Analytics is not started before you give consent. Your “allow analytics” or “necessary only” choice is stored locally in the browser under nctune_analytics_consent_v1 so the website can remember the decision. This entry is used solely to manage your privacy preference.

After acceptance, the website starts PostHog Cloud EU in cookieless mode. It sets no analytics cookies or identifiers in localStorage or sessionStorage. Autocapture, session recording, heatmaps, user profiling and error capture are disabled. Page addresses are stripped of query parameters and # fragments before they are sent.

Only limited statistics are sent to PostHog: page view and path, language, general browser and device information, cleaned referrer, and technical events such as viewing the form, clicking contact, starting, attempting or successfully submitting the form, downloading a PDF and using a Toolbox function. An event may include controlled context: button section, enquiry category and source page path. Form contents, name, email, company, calculator inputs, coordinates and NC code are not sent to PostHog.

Product presentations are MP4 files hosted with the website and do not use third-party video players.

Tools in the NCTune CNC Toolbox perform calculations locally in the browser. Inputs, coordinates and generated NC code are not sent to NCTune. The sharing function stores the configuration after the # character in the URL — a fragment that the browser does not include in its request to the server.

You can reopen the choice and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Recipients and hosting

Data may be processed by providers required to operate the website and email service — primarily OVHcloud as the hosting and mailbox provider — and by IT support providers when support is necessary. After consent, limited analytics data is also processed by PostHog, Inc. as the PostHog Cloud EU provider and processor. Project data is stored on servers in the Frankfurt region. Data may be disclosed to public authorities only where required by law. NCTune does not sell personal data or disclose it to data brokers.

Transfers outside the EEA

Contact-form data is not sent to PostHog. Analytics project data is stored in the EU region. If PostHog or one of its subprocessors accesses data from outside the EEA, the transfer may take place only under a mechanism permitted by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long data is kept

enquiries that do not lead to cooperation — for the time needed to handle the correspondence, normally no longer than 12 months after the last contact;
project or contract data — for the duration of the cooperation and then for the period required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend claims;
the IP hash used for anti-spam protection — 10 minutes;
technical hosting logs — for the period set by the hosting provider for security, diagnostics and reliable operation.
PostHog analytics events — for up to 12 months under the project's free plan, or less if deleted earlier.

Your rights

Where provided by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Send your request to projects [at] nctune.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish President of the Personal Data Protection Office or, where applicable, your local EEA supervisory authority.

Automated decisions and profiling

Your data is not used for profiling or for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.

This policy may be updated if the website, the services or the applicable requirements change. The current version and update date will always be published on this page.
